Bharatanatyam
Bharatanatyam is a form of traditional dance that originated in Tamil Nadu, India. Bharatanatyam usually depicts Hindu gods and goddesses, as well as other tales and stories in Hindu mythology.
About the Guru
Smt. Gayathri Venkatachalam started learning dance at the age of 7 from her mother Smt. Thara Venkatachalam. She then started learning from Guru Smt. Madhavi Chandrasekar. She is currently taking guidance from Dr. Srividhya Sundaresan. Gayathri has performed in several programs and competitions in India, specializing in choreography for her team. She is teaching bharatanatyam in the metro Atlanta area.
